Review: Hunting Angel by J.I. Weil

Hunting Angel by J.I. Weil
A Divisa Series
Book 2

Synopsis:

Chase Winters was the bane of my existence.

But he was also the lifeline of my heart and soul. Literally.

Things are steaming up between us, and between the sheets. When his lips weren’t locked with mine, they were spewing verbal crap. Half the time I don’t know whether to kiss him or slap him. Our bond was more than just being connected, we are soulbound. The closer we get, the stronger the bond takes hold and now-a-days it seemed we are inseparable.

There was a new addition to our little town, one that has all the Divisa’s on guard – a hunter has taken up residency. This hunter was not just another threat, not when their identity hit a little close to home. Strife divides my neighbor’s household surrounding this supposed enemy. Could they be friend or foe?

Chase’s number one priority in all this as always, was to keep me safe.

Regardless of what Chase says, I am not the weak and fragile human they all think I am. And there was nothing I wouldn’t do to keep Chase from harm. He might drive me up a freaking wall, but he was my pain in the ass. I wasn’t about to sit back and let some hunter fire an arrow through his heart. Not if I could help it.

Then there was the one question that was on everyone’s mind: Will the hunter kill us or save us…

**Recommended for 16+ due to language and sexual content**

Review:

This was an awesome sequel from the first book! I couldn't put the book down!

I loved reading more about Chase and Angel and their love hate relationship. Chase Winters is mouth watering HOT! Angel is spunky and doesn't back down from anything. Their hot and cold relationship is addictive and entertaining. It was intriguing to see how these two tried to stay away from each other, and failed in an explosion of hotness!

Chase locates an expert demon/ human romance named Ives. He informs them there are three phases to the closest connection which are soul, heart, and body. They're already soul connected from the first book, so that just leaves the other two. However, instead of this news bringing them closer, it seems to build a wall between them.

Then the unthinkable happens. A hunter comes into town whose identity will shock the entire Winters family. The most shocking hunter is Emma, a blast from Travis' past. Emma is definately not my favorite person in the beginning, but as the story unfolds, your heart starts to warm up to her and feel a little bad for her.  The hunters become the main focus of this book especially when they kidnap Angel. Chase goes crazy trying to find Angel and will kill anything that gets in his way. The installment packs an emotional whirlwind for more than one character and it is nice to see Chase and Angel move onto the next level in their relationship....

Rating: 5/5

~~About the Author~~

Award-winning and Bestselling author J.L. Weil writes Teen & New Adult Paranormal Romances about spunky, smart mouth girls who always wind up in dire situations. For every sassy girl, there is an equally mouthwatering, overprotective guy. Of course there is lots of kissing. And stuff.

Most of her books are for ages 16+. They usually have what she considers the good stuff - sexual content (oh yeah) and swearing. You have been warned ;)

An admitted addict to Love Pink clothes, raspberry mochas from Starbucks, (yum!) and Jensen Ackles (double yum!). She loves gushing about books and Supernatural with her readers.
